This framework for the professional development of CLIL teachers was originally produced in 2010. Compiled by David Marsh, Peeter Mehisto, Dieter Wolff and María Jesús Frigols Martín it is available here in response to frequent requests for access.
The framework was developed through the project strand Empowering Language Professionals at the European Centre for Modern Languages, Council of Europe. It outlines target professional competences that a CLIL teacher is expected to acquire or further develop and locates these in three professional development modules focused on approaching, implementing, and consolidating CLIL.
